Rick O’Shea Award for medical students
In memory of our Patron, Rick O’Shea, who tragically passed away in 2025, we have established The Rick O’Shea Award, an annual prize for medical students.
The award is intended to encourage and recognise outstanding contributions by medical students in understanding, researching, and addressing mental health challenges within the construction industry.
Careif Chair wins distinguished award for international research and service
Professor Rachel Tribe, the current chair of Careif, has been awarded the Fukuhara award for Advanced International Research and Service by the International Council of Psychologists.
This award was presented by Dr Sue Jacobs, the Chair of the awarding committee. The Fukuhara Award is given to a senior or mid-career level psychologist with distinguished contributions to international psychology in research and service.
