      Careif supports Manifesto for a Mentally Healthier Nation
Careif has joined over 60 organisations in supporting the Centre for Mental Health’s Manifesto for a Mentally Heathier Nation. The manifesto calls on all political parties to commit to a ten-year, cross-government plan for mental health.

We are delighted that Careif was prominently featured at the recent World Psychiatric Association Congress. Our colleagues from the International Institute for Geopsychiatry presented two pioneering, and state-of-the-art, symposiums on ‘geopsychiatry’.

      Successful training event on working with interpreters in mental health
A highly successful joint training on psychologists working with interpreters in mental health was held in London on 31 May. The event was led by Careif trustee Professor Rachel Tribe and Phil Muriel a board member of the National Register of Public Service interpreters (NRPSI) and was supported by Careif associate Emily O’Shea.

      Event - Working with Interpreters in Mental Health
This innovative event supported by the British Psychological Society (BPS), Careif, the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI) and the Association of Community Interpreters (ACIS) takes place on 31 May and will provide a free joint training workshop for both psychologists and interpreters.
