Genevieve Grimshaw

With a 30+ year background working across private/plc, local authorities and the charity sector, mainly focusing on Governance, HR and Operations, Genevieve has successfully implemented both governance and HR frameworks, delivered organisational restructures, including the recruitment of and development of new Boards and senior leadership/middle management teams, along with income generation/paid for services and fundraising.

Genevieve’s own lived experience with her son facing mental health challenges due to his learning disabilities and ill health during his teenage and early adult years, along with supporting young people through difficult periods to achieve apprenticeships/university educations, drives Genevieve’s passion for supporting mental health and organisations such as Careif to make a difference to the continued agenda of mental health and well-being.

Genevieve’s experience and skills gained as a governance professional and Company Secretary have provided her with extensive exposure to board-level and strategic discussions, enabling her to bring a broad range of skills to Careif’s Board of Trustees.
