Launching the Careif Archive of Refugee Empowerment (CARE)
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Careif Archive of Refugee Empowerment (CARE) on 20 June 2026, World Refugee Day.
CARE is an online resource hub that brings together information, guidance, and support services for refugees and asylum seekers in the UK and internationally, serving as a one-stop destination for accessing a wide range of resources assisting them to settle in their host country.
The hub is intended for:
Refugee and asylum-seeking adults, children, young people, and families;
Professionals working in health, education, social care, legal, and community services;
Charities and voluntary organisations;
Interpreters and advocates;
Schools, colleges, universities, researchers, and policy makers.
People who flee their homes because of war, conflict, violence, persecution, or human rights abuses often face significant challenges when trying to access essential services in their newly adopted country.
Complex and lengthy immigration processes, language barriers, and unfamiliar systems can all make it difficult to find the right help at the right time. This archive has been created to make support services easier to find and access. By providing a wealth of information in one place, it aims to:
reduce barriers to accessing support;
improve awareness of available services;
contribute to a fair and inclusive health and social care system;
strengthen collaboration between organisations;
and help refugees and asylum seekers feel more informed, connected, and supported.
To help achieve these aims, CARE contains a wide range of resources for adults and children, organised separately for ease of access. These include:
Organisations providing mental health support;
Multilingual resources;
Resources and support for humanitarian workers;
Multimedia resources;
Guided audio and video relaxation exercises;
Responding to the challenges and needs;
Personal accounts and lived experiences;
Index of services & organisations supporting refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants; and many more.
As part of our commitment to improving support for refugees and asylum seekers, we will regularly review and update the information available on the hub.
